To Make the Meatloaf: 1 pound (480 g) ground (minced) beef 1/4 pound (120 g) ground (minced) sausage 1/4 cup flaxseed mela 2 tablespoons chopped yellow onion 1/2 teaspoon dried sage 1 large egg, beaten salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste To Make the Sauce: 3 oz (90 ml) tomato paste 1/2 cup (125 ml) hot water 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon granulated Stevia 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste In a large mixing bowl, combine all meatloaf ingredients. Using your hands, mix the ingredients until well combined. Shape the mixture into a solid, one-inch-thick loaf on a large sheet of foil. Put the meatloaf with the foil in a 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker.
