Whole30 is another popular diet that also prioritizes eating foods that are not processed or refined in any way. Both diets are meant to be healthy and they both have similar food rules like no added sugar and no dairy. But there are some key differences between the two.

Whole30 is meant to be more restrictive than Paleo so you can’t eat any food outside of the list but it doesn’t mean you can’t eat anything on the list either. Paleo on the other hand allows for more flexibility with what you eat because it relies less on rules and more on common sense when deciding what’s allowed.

Whole30 doesn’t allow for any added sugar and no dairy which has led to many people trying it with success as a lifestyle change that allows them to eat what they want.

Paleo on the other hand relies more on common sense when deciding what’s allowed which can sometimes lead to some people doing too well and eating unhealthy foods by accident. Another key difference is that while Paleo emphasizes proper nutrition, Whole30 advocates an all-in diet where you eat everything on the list including alcohol and coffee.

Pulled pork is a dish that is made by cooking a pork shoulder in liquid until it becomes tender. The result is a tender, juicy and flavorful meat that can be used in many different dishes.

You can make pulled pork outside of an instant pot at home. Here are some ways to enjoy this delicious dish!

1) Slow Cooking Pulled Pork: This method takes about 8 hours but yields incredibly moist and tender meat.

2) Pressure Cooker Pulled Pork: This method takes about 2 hours but yields slightly less moist and slightly more dry meat. 3) Instant Pot Pulled Pork: This method takes about 45 minutes but yields a very dry and chewy meat with very little moisture left in it.

4) Dry Rubbed Pulled Pork: This method takes about 1 hour but yields a much more flavorful and juicy meat with tons of moisture left in it.

5) Smoked Pulled Pork: This method takes about 2 hours but yields a slight dryer, less tender meat with a more pronounced smoky flavor.

Instant Pot Paleo Pulled Pork

Serves: 10 Prep Time: 20 Minutes Cooking Time: 1 Hour 30 Minutes 1 Hour 30 Minutes

Ingredients

6-7 pounds (3-3.5 kg) pork shoulder roast, cut into 4-5 large pieces

1/4 cup steak seasoning

2 teaspoons sea salt

1/4 cup (60 ml) avocado oil

1 cup (250 ml) low-sodium chicken broth

2-3 cups (500-750 ml) BBQ sauce

Instructions

Rub the meat with steak seasoning and salt.

Heat 2 tablespoons of avocado oil in an electric instant pot tuned to saute mode.

Add two pieces of seasoned meat and sear for 2-3 minutes on 2 sides. Remove seared meat from the pot and transfer it to a large plate.

Add the remaining oil and sear the other pieces of meat.

Pour the chicken broth into the instant pot, then return the seared meat to the cooker.

Cover the pot and lock the lid.

Set the machine to cook to high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 60 minutes.

Using the natural Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid.

Remove cooked meat from the instant pot and transfer it to a large plate. Reserve cooking liquid.

Using two forks, shred it.

Mix in the BBQ Sauce. Add 1/2 cup (125 ml) of the reserved liquid to reach the desired consistency.
